Jan Ravnik was born on 13 May 1995 in Bohinj, Slovenia, a small town in the Julian Alps, according to Wikipedia. He started dancing at age six and began formal training by age eight. Ravnik moved to the United States around 2015, seeking opportunities in commercial dance. His U.S. credits expanded quickly: he performed with Mariah Carey, Paula Abdul, Bruno Mars, Lewis Capaldi, Khalid, and Luis Fonsi, per Us Weekly. His most visible role began in March 2023, when he joined Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour as a backup dancer. When asked by Glamour about his relationships with former employers, Ravnik said: “People who pay me, people who transformed my life, I won’t discuss them.” That comment came after online speculation about his ties to Swift, which he has consistently declined to address directly.
